The book “The Cotton House” shows the history of the splendour of the textile sector the grand building currently housing the Cotton House Hotel formed part of. It sets out in stages 138 years of history on its valuable architecture, reviewing the social and stylistic context of the building designed by the architect Elías Rogent i Amat, as well as the subsequent interventions according to the fashions, uses and needs of the moment. The publication shows the magnificent refurbishment undertaken by Nicolau María Rubió i Tudurí, to house the Headquarters of the Cotton Textile Industry and also provides a rich photographic archive of the associative life of the textile industry.
